ROCKLAND, ME (Feb 2): Where have the Rheal girls gone? Back to School!

Three women from RHEAL Day Spa, formerly nordström skin care, are headed back to school to further their education and expertise level.

"I am so proud to be associated with all the people who work with me, and am inspired by Brianne, Kasey, and Mariah's desire to grow." said owner, Rhonda Nordstrom. “As we move into our new expanded location at 453 Main Street, we will need more expertise and skill in all departments of the spa so we may continue to give our customers what they’ve come to expect from RHEAL Day Spa/nordström skin care.”

Brianne Russell, a native of South Thomaston, Maine, received her massage therapy license after attending the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, ME. Her decision to attend Capilo Institute to become a licensed skin care professional (Esthetician) will give her a dual-license and dual opportunity to thrive in the spa environment. Brianne started with RHEAL/nordström in 2006.

Kasey Blood, Licensed Esthetician, graduated from the Capilo Institute and has been with RHEAL/nordström since 2007. This Union, Maine native discovered early on that makeup artistry is her passion. Kasey will attend The Makeup Designory in New York City starting in March 2009, returning to Rockland in June 2009.

Mariah Hurley Lussier grew up in Spruce Head and went on to attend Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI where she received a BSS in Business Administration. She started with RHEAL/nordström in 2007 and currently has reception/administrative duties.

Mariah will attend the Capilo Institute to become licensed as a Nail Technician. “I love the spa business and saw an opportunity to expand how I contribute to the company.”

Also working at RHEAL are receptionist Amy Young since 2005, and Erika Sawyer Yeater, Massage Theraptist at RHEAL since early 2008.

“As a Rockland, Maine native I’m pleased to be able to employ young people who consciously want to live here – it’s not a default position, but a desire.” Nordstrom said.

RHEAL Day Spa currently offers facials, massage therapy, hair removal, body treatments, holistic and clinical skin care products, and mineral makeup. They carry luxury natural skin care lines like Dr. Hauschka Skin Care, their private line, RHEAL Skin Care, also, Bare Escentuals makeup, and erbaviva, an organic line for babies and moms.
